Welcome to Tail Gate, where lucky dogs go for fun and play. We’re glad you stopped in! We’ve designed our state-of-the-art facility with two goals in mind: To satisfy your dog’s need for social interaction and to foster his or her physical well-being:

Social – Our open, cage-free daycare environment gives your dog an opportunity to interact with others of his or her temperament and level of energy and to make friends.

Physical – We know how important exercise is to dogs, just as it is to humans. We also know that busy dog owners don’t always have the time to exercise their pets. Tail Gate provides you with a convenient way to make sure your dog gets a vigorous dose of physical activity.

Dogs are admitted for daycare only after a thorough behavior assessment. Tail Gate accepts only friendly, healthy dogs. Take a look around, we think you’ll agree that Tail Gate is the ultimate experience for your canine companion. At Tail Gate, your dog’s comfort and happiness are our No. 1 concern.

Some facts to consider while visiting:

Our building is fully fire-sprinklered for your dog’s ultimate safety. The Elmhurst Fire Department provides wireless monitoring of our fire-alarm system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Staff members are trained in the care and management of dogs. Many are Red Cross trained in animal first-aid.
Our dogs are the friendliest in town!
1. We have numerous boarding options, from luxurious suites to smaller kennels and crates. Boarding dogs receive free full-day daycare.
5,500-sq.-ft. outdoor play area!
Special requests such as medication, rest period or mid-day feeding? No problem, and never an extra charge!
100% epoxy flooring makes cleanup easy.
1. Air conditioned with a state-of-the-art energy recovery system to keep your pooch cool in summer, warm in winter and to reduce odors.

What's New?

We're proud to be supporting Illinois Birddog Rescue by providing a safe and loving space for some of their dogs at our facility. While these pups wait to find their forever homes, we're making sure they're well cared for, socialized, and showered with affection. It's an honor to be part of their journey and to help such a wonderful organization give these dogs a second chance!
